HivemindOS manual

NocoDB

NocoDB turns structured data into spreadsheet-style tables. HivemindOS can connect to a workspace you operate on your machine or on one of your private fleet machines.

Local Installation Status

HivemindOS does not currently install or start NocoDB because the current release did not pass security review. Apps & Services shows Install unavailable until a replacement passes a fresh review.

You can still run NocoDB yourself under its license and connect it to HivemindOS. Keep it private to your machine or fleet and follow NocoDB’s current security and upgrade guidance.

HivemindOS does not read or create your NocoDB password.

Connect HivemindOS

In NocoDB, open Account settings → Tokens, create a dedicated connection key, and copy it. Then open More → Integrations → Connections → NocoDB in HivemindOS.

Enter the address where your NocoDB workspace is available. A workspace on another fleet machine must use that machine’s private address. Paste the dedicated connection key and connect. HivemindOS verifies the connection and saves it for approved agent work.

Give the connection key access only to the information agents need. Some self-hosted editions may not let you limit or expire a key, so treat it like a password. Never paste it into chat, notes, logs, or screenshots.

What Agents Can Do

Agents can list bases and tables, read one record, or list up to 100 records at a time. They can also create, update, or delete one record. Every change requires:

  • the exact confirmation shown by HivemindOS;
  • a unique change reference, which prevents a repeated request from repeating the change; and
  • the access granted to the connected NocoDB key.

Review the table, record, and changed fields before confirming a write. NocoDB remains the source of truth for its own users, roles, bases, tables, and records.

Back Up Or Recover

Stopping NocoDB should not delete your information, but follow the backup instructions for the way you installed it before an upgrade or removal.

If the connection stops working, confirm that NocoDB is running and that the dedicated key still exists. Disconnecting NocoDB from HivemindOS removes the saved address and key; it does not stop NocoDB or delete its information.

Hosted Availability

HivemindOS does not currently sell hosted NocoDB workspaces. NocoDB’s Sustainable Use License permits user-operated internal, personal, and non-commercial use, but a provider needs a separate commercial agreement to offer hosted or managed access to customers. The local integration stays available independently of any future hosted offering.
