Hivemind Database

Hivemind Database gives your hive a shared place for structured records. You can keep it on your own device at no extra charge, or use a managed database included with an active Plus, Pro, or Max subscription.

Both choices support the same governed agent actions and a clear path in either direction. You can start locally, copy a workspace to your managed account later, and copy the managed workspace back to a device when you want to self-host again.

Keep It On This Device

Open More → Integrations → Connections → Hivemind Database, then choose Set up on this device. HivemindOS checks the required local service, creates a private owner account, and keeps the database available only on that device.

Stopping the service preserves your records. Starting it again reopens the same workspaces. The setup screen tells you what is missing and lets you finish setup without leaving the current view.

Use The Managed Database

Choose Create managed database while signed in with an active Plus, Pro, or Max subscription. The managed database is included with the subscription; it is not billed as an extra per-user seat.

Your account receives one private workspace with plan-based limits for records, tables, storage, monthly operations, and transfers. Current usage appears in the setup screen.

Copy Between Local And Managed

When both locations are ready, the setup screen shows Move a copy:

• Copy to managed exports the selected local workspace and imports it into your managed workspace.
• Copy to this device exports your managed workspace and imports it into a new local workspace.

The source is never removed. Each transfer verifies the archive size and checksum before finishing. If an import fails, HivemindOS removes only the incomplete destination created by that attempt. You can confirm the copied workspace before choosing whether to remove an older copy yourself.

Workspace copies include supported tables, fields, relationships, views, records, files, and workspace applications. Workspace members, access rules, custom domains, external callbacks, and personal settings are not moved and must be set again at the destination.

What Agents Can Do

Agents can list workspaces, databases, tables, fields, and a bounded number of records. They can create databases, tables, fields, and records, or update and delete individual records when the task has authority.

Every change requires the exact confirmation shown by HivemindOS. Changes also carry retry protection so repeating the same approved request does not repeat the write.

Recovery

If a transfer does not finish, the source remains available. Retry from the setup screen after checking that both locations are ready. Keep the older source until you have opened and checked the copied workspace.

Disconnecting the integration removes its saved connection from agent use. It does not delete workspaces or records. Removing local service data or deleting a managed workspace is a separate destructive action and is never part of a transfer.
